GPT-Live позволяет ChatGPT слушать во время речи

At first, this may sound like another voice-quality update. The voices have been remastered, ChatGPT should interrupt less often, and it can respond more naturally when you pause, change direction or speak over it. But GPT-Live is more than a better speech model. It changes the architecture behind voice interaction. Instead of waiting for one person to finish speaking before generating a complete response, GPT-Live can listen and speak at the same time. When a question requires deeper reasoning, web search or more complex work, it can delegate that task to another model in the background without ending the conversation. (OpenAI) The old model was: > Speak, wait, receive an answer. The new model is closer to: [...] OpenAI has launched two versions: GPT-Live-1, which powers ChatGPT Voice for Go, Plus and Pro users GPT-Live-1 mini, which powers the experience for Free users The models are rolling out on ChatGPT.com and the ChatGPT apps for iOS and Android. They are not available

OpenAI built GPT-Live-1 as a continuous, full-duplex voice model for ChatGPT. It manages the live conversation and can delegate search or deeper reasoning without forcing the conversation to stop. Source boundary Architecture map ## Conversation and reasoning are separate jobs ### Continuous interaction [...] ### Continuous interaction GPT-Live continuously processes incoming audio while it generates audio. OpenAI says it can decide many times per second whether to speak, listen, pause, interrupt, or invoke a tool. ### Reasoning delegation When a request needs search, deeper reasoning, or more complex work, GPT-Live can hand th

GPT-Live processes incoming audio continuously while generating its own output, deciding many times per second whether to speak, keep listening, pause, or fire off a tool. In plain terms, the model no longer waits for a turn because there are no turns. It drops in small acknowledgments like "mhmm" and "yeah" while a person talks, stays quiet when someone needs a moment to think, and handles interruptions without losing the thread. OpenAI says the architecture even enables live translation. [...] Anyone who has spent time chatting with an AI assistant knows the rhythm. Speak, stop, wait, listen, repeat. OpenAI wants to retire that walkie-talkie cadence for good with GPT-Live, a new generation of voice models now powering ChatGPT Voice. Built on a full-duplex architecture, GPT-Live can listen and talk at the same time, which OpenAI says makes conversations with ChatGPT feel far closer to speaking with an actual person.

GPT‑Live is also our smartest voice model yet. For questions that require web search, deeper reasoning, or more complex work, it delegates to our latest frontier model behind the scenes and brings the result back into the conversation when it’s ready. While it works, GPT‑Live can keep talking with you and maintain the flow of conversation. At launch, GPT‑Live will use GPT‑5.5 in the background. As we release new frontier models, we’ll continuously update the model used by GPT‑Live. These advances power a new ChatGPT Voice experience that is more intelligent and natural to use. Over time, we believe this research will also unlock the ability to use voice for increasingly complex, longer-running, and more agentic work. [...] GPT‑Live is built on a full-duplex architecture, meaning it can listen and speak at the same time. During conversations, GPT‑Live can show it’s paying attention with phrases like “mhmm” or “yeah”, engage in quick back-and-forth, or just stay quiet when you need a mo

We shipped GPT-Live! It’s been a privilege to help shape the research behind this incredible new model series. GPT-Live is built to make voice a truly natural interface for AI. Its full-duplex architecture allows it to listen and speak at the same time, respond naturally to pauses and interruptions, and keep a conversation flowing even while deeper reasoning or search happens behind the scenes. It brings together the naturalness of a real conversation with frontier-level intelligence—without forcing a trade-off between the two. A launch like this is only possible by sweating the details across every part of the model research and the broader stack. It reflects the dedication, judgment, and hard work of an exceptional group of people. [...] Introducing GPT-Live, a new generation of voice models for natural human-AI interaction. Introducing GPT-Live, a new generation of voice models for natural human-AI interaction. Rolling out in ChatGPT starting today. GPT-Live makes talking with AI feel like having a real conversation. It’s also our smartest voice model yet. It’s built on a full-duplex architecture, meaning it can listen and speak at the same time. This allows the model to engage in more natural back-and-forth, maintain a better sense of time, and even perform live translation. A good voice model should be enjoyable to talk to, and GPT-Live is a great conversationalist with a more natural and defined personality than previous voice models. For questions that require web search, deeper reasoning, or more complex work, GPT-Live can delegate to our latest frontier model behind the scenes, and brings the result [...] Introducing GPT-Live, a new generation of voice models for natural human-AI interaction.
