Anthropic опубликовала исследование применения Claude Mythos Preview для криптоанализа. Anthropic says its unreleased AI model Claude Mythos Preview has discovered hidden mathematical weaknesses in cryptographic algorithms that researchers had missed for years. The findings were detailed in two research papers focused on improving future cybersecurity. In one study the AI uncovered a flaw in HAWK a post quantum cryptography candidate leading to its withdrawal from consideration as a future security standard. In another the model developed a new mathematical shortcut that speeds up analysis of simplified versions of the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) by 200 to 800 times.
