Developer Guizang has built a UI and interaction enhancement plugin for DeepSeek Harness, incorporating assets developed for Codepilot. The project was later released as Pilot Harness, an out-of-the-box client built around DeepSeek Harness plugins.

The project is intended to improve more than the visual appearance of DeepSeek Harness. Its focus includes interface interactions and long-term usability, with a separate provider plugin and a planned client wrapper. Some assets developed for Codepilot were also adapted for the new plugin ecosystem.

Later release information describes Pilot Harness as two parts: a desktop client shell and a collection of DeepSeek Harness plugins that provide the product optimizations. GitHub discussions and community articles independently point to a growing plugin ecosystem covering themes, sidebar behavior, context inspection, and remote access.
