Qwen Launches Qwen3.8-Max With 2.4 Trillion Parameters
Alibaba’s Qwen has introduced Qwen3.8-Max, describing it as the most capable model in the Qwen family so far. The model is reported to have 2.4 trillion total parameters, 95 billion activated parameters, and a 1-million-token context window.
Qwen has announced Qwen3.8-Max for coding, office work, research, and long-horizon agent tasks. According to the company, the model builds on the Qwen 3.5 architecture and combines multimodal processing with extended planning, tool use, and self-correction. Claims about reliability and real-world productivity are based primarily on the vendor’s own evaluations and examples.
Qwen says the weights for Qwen3.8-Max will be released the following week, alongside the open-weight Qwen3.8-27B. Reported overseas API pricing is $2 per million input tokens, $6 per million output tokens, and $0.25 per million tokens for implicit-cache hits. Developers can access the model through Qwen’s platform, Qwen Studio, and API services.
