OpenAI to Run Security Sprint With Cathedral Systems and Raise Bug Bounties
OpenAI is preparing an internal security sprint with Cathedral Systems, whose researchers will use OpenAI models alongside company teams to test defenses and find weaknesses. Critical bug-bounty rewards will increase by more than four times, with exceptional findings eligible for up to $172,000 including bonuses.
OpenAI said its next internal security sprint will bring Cathedral Systems researchers together with its own security teams. The outside researchers will use OpenAI models to challenge the company’s defenses, identify weaknesses, and help strengthen protections across its platforms.
The company also plans to expand its bug-bounty program. Rewards for critical findings will rise by more than four times, while exceptional discoveries may qualify for payments of up to $172,000, including bonuses. OpenAI said it will continue using its models to harden internal systems and broaden access for trusted defenders.
