OpenAI engineer Jason Liu (@jxnlco) has shared a video focused on the company’s mission and employee experience. He said the project was intended to show what working at OpenAI feels like, explain what the mission means to him, and encourage people to consider joining the company.

According to Liu’s post, he made the video with Codex and first showed it to colleagues. The team reportedly decided that the piece was worth sharing with a wider audience, leading to its publication across social platforms.

OpenAI’s public company profile similarly describes a mission centered on ensuring that general-purpose AI benefits humanity and on valuing diverse perspectives. The available evidence confirms the post and the video’s general provenance, but does not independently establish every broader claim about OpenAI’s workplace culture.

Kate Michaels, graphic This really resonates with me. One of the beautiful things about a company is when people truly feel like their voice matters. Being able to share ideas, ask questions, challenge the status quo, and know that you’ll be heard is so important. That kind of culture is where people can do their best work and the most meaningful innovation happens. It’s really inspiring to see this reflected at OpenAI.
