Moonshot AI has launched Kimi K3 on Amazon Bedrock, bringing a 2.8-trillion-parameter model with a 1M-token context window and prompt caching to AWS developers.
Moonshot AI announced that its flagship multimodal model, Kimi K3, is now generally available on Amazon Bedrock. Featuring 2.8 trillion parameters and a native 1-million-token context window, the model is engineered to handle massive codebase navigation, multi-document extraction, and long-running agentic tasks with approximately 2.5 times higher scaling efficiency than its predecessor, Kimi K2.
Through Amazon Bedrock, enterprise teams can deploy Kimi K3 within standard AWS security boundaries, utilizing existing governance tools for access management, encryption, and audit logging. Kimi K3 is also the first open-weight model on Bedrock to offer native explicit prompt caching, which reduces inference latency and costs for repetitive, context-heavy queries.
