阿里云Official MiniMax materials indicate that H3’s model weights and checkpoints are available through open repositories under the MiniMax H3 Community License Agreement. Community creator Ostris says they generated 1,000 videos for testing, though that dataset claim is not independently verified in the supplied evidence.
MiniMax describes H3 as a multimodal video-generation model that can work across text, images, video, and audio, producing video with native stereo sound. Its official release materials list checkpoints, download instructions, and repositories on platforms including Hugging Face and ModelScope.
The release is open-weight rather than unrestricted. MiniMax says use is governed by the MiniMax H3 Community License Agreement, so developers should review its terms before deployment, redistribution, or commercial use. An earlier company post said weights would be released in coming days; a later release page says they are available, which reflects a rollout sequence rather than a conflict.
The social post also references prospective benchmarks, a robotics dataset, and a 1,000-video test collection generated by Ostris. Those are community plans or self-reported testing claims. The evidence supports H3’s release and repository availability, but does not independently establish the dataset’s contents, methodology, or performance conclusions.
Source review does not guarantee permanent accuracy. Consider the original source, observation time, and later corrections.
MiniMax has introduced H3, its latest multimodal AI model capable of understanding text, images, video, and audio within a unified context to generate high-quality videos with native stereo sound. The model supports up to 15-second videos in 2K resolution, offers advanced editing capabilities such as motion transfer, image-to-video, and video-to-video generation, and is designed for commercial applications including advertising, e-commerce, product design, gaming, and UI/UX. MiniMax also plans to release H3 as an open-weight model, giving developers greater flexibility to customize and deploy it. The company claims H3 delivers industry-leading price-performance, producing premium-quality videos at a significantly lower cost than competing models. H3 is built on a unified multimodal [...] Together, these developments highlight how AI is evolving beyond static models toward systems that can create, learn continuously, and interact intelligently with the physical world. ## MiniMax H3 Unv
Closed-source models have long dominated video generation, with slower iteration and a less open ecosystem than fields like large language models. To support the open-source community, accelerate compatibility with a broader range of AI hardware, and make it easier for users to build their own customized versions, we plan to open up the model weights in the coming days, subject to applicable laws and regulations. Hardware compatibility has been a key consideration since the earliest stages of H3's design. ### Multimodal context understanding [...] AIH3MultimodalVideo Generation Today, we're launching MiniMax H3, a general-purpose multimodal generation model. H3 understands unified context across text, images, video, and audio, generating video with native stereo sound, up to 15 seconds at 2K resolution. Early testing shows H3 is ready for commercial content creation across a wide range of use cases, excelling at instruction following, accurate text and brand rendering, and V2V motio

# MiniMax H3: The New Open-Source Video Champ? ## Codebreakers 3610 subscribers 133 likes ### Description 5312 views Posted: 3 Aug 2026 MiniMax H3 (Hailuo 3.0) dropped overnight — an open-weights omni-modal model that generates video WITH native stereo audio in a single pass. Ranked #1 in video editing and top-3 in text-to-video. But they didn't open-source all of it.
