Higgsfield and Cully Games have released 'The Cully Hill Boys,' a 110-minute AI-generated feature film starring licensed likenesses of real celebrities. Made on a $2 million budget in four weeks, the project's prompts, assets, and production logs have been fully open-sourced.
The Cully Hill Boys marks a milestone in AI-driven filmmaking: a full-length 110-minute action comedy generated entirely with AI tools. Produced by Higgsfield and Cully Games, the film uses the licensed likenesses of UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, MMA veteran Israel Adesanya, streamer N3on, and streetball player Matt “MK” Kiatipis. The reported budget was around $2 million, with roughly half allocated to AI compute.
According to the production notes, a 28-person team built about 1,000 assets and over 100 AI-generated locations in four weeks. Every shot was created through text-to-video generation using Seedance on Higgsfield's Cinema Studio, with no image-to-video pipeline. The filmmakers also released all prompts, character sheets, location assets, and a 137-entry production log to the public.
For Higgsfield, the film doubles as a demonstration of its upcoming Cinema Studio 4.0 platform, aimed at studios and brands. It also follows the company's earlier 95-minute AI feature 'Hell Grind,' made for roughly $500,000. The new project suggests a rapid scale-up in AI film production capabilities, though independent filmmakers note that cost structures still depend heavily on compute.
Industry observers say the move could open new revenue streams for actors through likeness licensing and lower barriers for independent creators. While the film's creative and technical merits continue to be debated, the production model itself is likely to influence how AI-generated features are funded, produced, and distributed in the coming years.

Higgsfield shared with me exclusively, in an email exchange after the premiere, that the total production budget was approximately $2 million, with about $1 million allocated to AI compute. The team generated roughly 1,000 production-ready assets across more than 100 locations, all in 4K, in four weeks. The company's reference point is its previous feature, Hell Grind, a 95-minute film produced for about $500,000 that required about 100 assets. By that measure, Higgsfield multiplied its production scale roughly tenfold in a matter of months. The company also notes that independent films of comparable ambition typically demand one to two years and budgets above $20 million. Those comparisons are Higgsfield’s own figures, but even generous discounting leaves a cost structure that no studio [...] I attended the world premiere of Higgsfield’s The Cully Hill Boys in New York City on August 5.This 110-minute feature is the world’s first AI-generated film starring the licensed likenesses of r
