阿里云DeepSeek Harness is now available as an MIT-licensed open-source framework for building AI agents. Version 0.1.0 is a developer preview with plugin-based components for models, tools, sessions, sandboxes, storage, orchestration, and the web interface.
DeepSeek Harness is designed as the runtime layer between a model and the environment in which an agent operates. Its architecture exposes models, tools, skills, sessions, sandboxes, storage, control loops, scheduling, and the user interface as extensible plugin components.
The v0.1.0 release is distributed under the MIT License, allowing developers to inspect, modify, self-host, and extend the project. The framework is intended to provide infrastructure for agent development rather than a finished end-user agent product.
DeepSeek and the project’s authors describe the release as an early developer preview. Users should expect rough edges and possible compatibility-breaking changes as the APIs and plugin contracts evolve.
