Available reports describe DeepSeek Harness as a deeply modular environment in which model adapters, tools, filesystems, sessions, sandboxes, and the agent loop can be composed through plugins. A separate project, Pilot Harness, adds a more accessible desktop wrapper.
The available material presents DeepSeek Harness as a runtime assembled from configuration into a plugin tree. Skills, MCP integrations, and the web UI are only the most visible layers; model routing, tool execution, filesystem access, session storage, sandboxing, and even the agent loop are also described as extensible components.
The same report says that the built-in web interface is functionally mature but still feels like a developer preview, while command-line deployment may be difficult for nontechnical users. To address those barriers, the author introduces Pilot Harness, a desktop shell that runs Harness locally, displays its web interface in a native window, and manages paths, data directories, window behavior, and runtime restarts.
The evidence is concentrated in one article, its mirrors, and related social posts. No independently verified official repository or announcement is included, so the project's official status, release details, and full platform support should be treated as provisional.

前两天，DeepSeek 发布了DeepSeek Harness。 印象最深的是它对“一切皆插件”的坚持，而且做得相当彻底。 Skills、MCP 和UI 只是比较容易看到的部分。
