DeepSeek Harness Desktop is an unofficial community application built with Electron around the official DeepSeek Harness. Users can install the app and launch the local service and Web interface without separately installing Node.js or starting Harness from a terminal.

The GitHub v0.1.0 release lists support for Apple Silicon Macs and Windows x64. It also provides system-tray operation, local data and service execution, and automatic management of the Harness process lifecycle. The upstream plugin system and local Web UI remain available.

The desktop app is not affiliated with or endorsed by DeepSeek. Later community pages mention Intel Mac, Linux, and newer client versions; those capabilities should be checked against the release notes for the relevant version rather than assumed to apply to the initial release.
