A social-media post says usage limits were reset by an OpenAI Codex product leader. Prior posts support that similar resets have been issued to paid users, but the precise scope, trigger, and affected products in this instance are not fully confirmed by primary evidence.
The candidate cites a brief reply attributed to Tibo Sottiaux stating that a reset was completed. Other posts attributed to the same X account say paid-plan Codex limits were reset after reliability incidents, while a separate announcement referred to paid users of both Codex and ChatGPT Work.
The supplied evidence does not include a complete primary copy of the specific post cited by the candidate or an official service notice for this event. It is therefore not possible to verify whether every paid tier was included, whether other services were affected, or whether the action was compensation for an outage. Secondary accounts also make inconsistent or unsupported claims about reset schedules, models, and user counts.
Source review does not guarantee permanent accuracy. Consider the original source, observation time, and later corrections.

OpenAI product lead Tibo Sottiaux just announced another quota reset for all paid subscribers. The reset eases strict usage caps on Codex, OpenAI’s dedicated AI coding agent, and ChatGPT Work, the specialized task-handling interface. Both are powered by the advanced GPT-5.6 Sol Ultra model. These tools help professionals with everything from writing quick scripts to executing massive codebase refactors, but high demand from over 10 million active users frequently drains user quotas within hours. OpenAI has to issue these resets as a regular event to keep workflows moving. The announcement drew mixed reactions. Many users celebrated with comments like “Weeeeeeeee. It’s a good day!” Others called for more predictable, static limits. [...] Log In Sign Up aiference's profile picture Never miss a post from aiference Sign up for Instagram to stay in the loop. He got the meme status as the reset guy because whenever Codex hits bugs, slowdowns, or false-positive abuse limits, he posts that he's reset all usage limits for everyone as compensation/milestone gift. It's not a formal schedule, the community just calls any extra free refill a "Tibo reset". 1 Log in or sign up for ThreadsSee what people are talking about and join the conversation. Log inSign up ## Post user avatar Tibo @thsottiaux Hi. Over the last 24 hours we had three separate small incidents that affected Codex reliability. Those are three too many and we are taking active steps for them to not reproduce. I have reset usage limits for Codex across all paid plans.
