Cloudflare Opens Wallet Handle Reservations for AI-Agent Payments

Cloudflare has launched Cloudflare Wallets and opened free reservations for wallet handles. The service is designed to give people and AI agents stable identities and, later, controlled payment access for APIs and digital content.

Cloudflare is now allowing users to reserve a Cloudflare Wallet handle through cloudflare.pay. Each wallet is associated with a unique username that can help users and their agents identify themselves when interacting with online services. Agents may optionally indicate which person or organization they represent, or remain anonymous.

The current release is primarily a handle-reservation launch, not the arrival of every wallet capability. Cloudflare says deposits, withdrawals, and virtual wallets for agents will be introduced over the coming months.

The broader goal is to address two limitations of autonomous agents: the lack of a stable identifier and the lack of a native way to pay for services. Future controls are expected to let users assign budgets, spending limits, allowlists, and other rules so agents can purchase APIs, content, and related services without receiving direct access to card details.

If the user already has a Cloudflare account, they’re sent through a standard OAuth flow to grant access to the Stripe Projects CLI, allowing them to provision resources on their existing Cloudflare account. ## Payment: give your agent a budget it can spend, without giving it your credit card info You might rightly worry, “What if my agent goes a bit overboard and starts buying dozens of domains? Will I end up on the hook for a massive bill? Can I really trust my agent with my credit card?” [...] Starting today, agents can provision Cloudflare on behalf of their users. They can create a Cloudflare account, start a paid subscription, register a domain, and get back an API token to deploy code right away. Humans can be in the loop to grant permission and must accept Cloudflare's terms of service, but no human steps are otherwise required from start to finish. There’s no need to go to the dashboard, copy and paste API tokens, or enter credit card details. Without any extra setup, agents

The programmable wallet for the agentic Internetblog.cloudflare.com · supporting

This flow is very difficult for agents for two reasons: Agents do not have a stable identifier to sign up for an API, and they do not have a native way to pay for APIs. Because they lack these things, they often struggle to onboard onto software, which limits the growth of agentic commerce. AI agents often give up on these tasks entirely, kicking registration, payment methods, and API key generation back to humans. This makes it very difficult for agents to try out and compare many APIs. To solve this, we’ve created Cloudflare Wallets. Starting today, you can claim a Cloudflare Wallet handle for your account, which will provide a unique username to help you better connect with merchants. Soon, you will be able to set up and use your Cloudflare Wallet to pay for APIs and content. [...] We solve this problem by linking wallets to a Cloudflare account via cloudflare.pay. cloudflare.pay will allow agents to optionally identify themselves, since their identity is a delegate of the account.

Cloudflare Just Destroyed v0, Lovable, and Replit in One Move" — 多少有点夸张,但方向是对的:vibe coding 工具自己解决不了的部署链路问题,被 Cloudfl
