Scott MacVicar Head of Developer Infrastructure, Stripe Cursor Scott MacVicar Head of Developer Infrastructure, Stripe Cursor

Kai proved the ROI by demonstration. One engineer built Kai in a single week. The primitives from Deep Agents meant that the hard agent infrastructure was already solved. That speed proved that the time spent building internal Stripe support for Python was paid back immediately. "Kai completely solidified people's belief that Deep Agents is the way to go," emphasized Chrissie, Head of AI Platform. ## Hitting Kai’s quarterly adoption target in one week When Kai went into open preview, it hit the team’s quarterly adoption target in a week, continuing to grow more than 16x from 296 users to over 5,000 in roughly 4 weeks. "It just caught fire. People used it, and it just clicked for them," said Sharadh. Stripe just revealed something big. They have internal AI coding agents called Minions that are merging over a thousand pull requests every week. Fully unattended. No human writes any code. An engineer sends a Slack message and a ready to merge PR comes out of the other end. This is not Copilot. This is not Cursor. Those tools help you write code faster. [music] Minions write code without you. That's a different category entirely. Most developers are here using interactive agents where you sit and watch the AI work. Stripe has moved to here. Fully unattended. You fire and forget. You spin up five agents in parallel and go work on something else. The interesting part isn't that they did it. It's how they built it. Because the agent itself is almost commodity. It's a fork of an open source [...] # How Stripe Built AI Agents That Write 1,000+ Pull Requests a Week ## ByteMonk 392000 subscribers 1432 likes ### Description 72135 views Posted: 14 Feb 2026 Stripe just revealed something shock
